Rubber Board not to close down its offices
Kottayam, 28 April 2016
The Rubber Board hereby clarifies that it is not closing down any of its regional offices or field offices. But, considering the fund position, the Board has initiated action to reduce the rent expenditure of offices by shifting these offices to buildings having less rent, but in the same locality. This clarification is issued in the light of interpretations by some vested interests as a move to close down offices.
The Board has recently taken several measures to bring down its administrative expenses so that maximum fund could be utilized to give financial assistance to rubber growers. Orders have already been issued to close down the Board guest houses at Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkatta.
