Early bird registration to India Rubber Meet closes on 25 February

Delegate registration to India Rubber Meet 2015, the yearly event organized by the Rubber Board in partnership with stakeholder associations in rubber and related sectors is in progress. Early bird registration comes to a close on 25 February.

The two day event will be held on 04 and 05 March 2015 at Le Meridien Convention Centre, Kochi. The theme of IRM 2015 is ‘Finite resources: infinite opportunities’ and is expected to cover the commercial opportunities of rubber including auxiliary activities. Dr John Baffes (Senior Economist, Development Prospects Group, World Bank), Mr. Frank Grothaus (UNCTAD, Geneva), Mr. Charu Kapoor (Principal, TATA Strategic Management, Mumbai), Datuk Dr. Salmiah Ahmad (Director-General, Malaysian Rubber Board), Mr. Shashank Tripati, (Executive Director, Pricewaterhouse Coopers India), Dr. Stephen V Evans (Secretary-General, International Rubber Study Group, Singapore), Datuk Dr. Abdul Aziz S.A. Kadir (Secretary General, International Rubber Research and Development Board, Malaysia), Ms Sheela Thomas (Secretary-General, Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries, Malaysia), Dr. Stuart Cook (Director of Research, Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre, U.K.), Mr. Gunther Lottmann (Manager, Grupo Agroindustrial de Occidente, Guatemala), Mr. Hla Myint (Advisor, Myanmar Rubber Planters & Producers Association) and Mr. N-Diaye Oumar (Director, Department Cultures d’ Exportation et Productions Forestieres, Abidjan, Cote d’ Ivoire) will speak on different aspects covering the global rubber economy.

Panel discussions will be chaired by Dr. A Jayathilak IAS (Chairman, Rubber Board, India) and Dr. A.K. Krishna Kumar (Executive Director, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services, New Delhi).

Registration fee is Rs.10,000/- per participant. Early bird registration fee is Rs.7,500/- only and is open till 25 February 2015. Small rubber growers can register at a fee of Rs.3500/-. Details can be had from ‘’
