The Rubber Board will observe Vigilance Awareness Week in all its offices from 27 October to 01 November 2014, as directed by the Central Vigilance Commission. This year the main focus of observing vigilance awareness week is ‘Combating Corruption – Technology as an enabler’. The programme will start with a pledge by all officers and staff of the Rubber Board at 11 am on 27 October 2014. The oath will be administered at the Head Office by the Chairman, Rubber Board and by the Heads of offices / officers- in- charge in all other offices.
As a part of the programme, elocution competitions in English will be conducted for students from higher secondary schools and colleges in and around Kottayam and elocution competition in Malayalam for the employees of the Rubber Board in the central zone at the Rubber Board Head Office. The subject for elocution will be ‘Combating Corruption – Technology as an enabler’. Allotted time for the elocution for each participant will be six minutes.
The competition for higher secondary students will commence at 10.00 am on 28 October 2014 and that of college students at 2.30 pm on the same day. The competition for employees will be on 27 October 2014 at 11.30 am.
Maximum two students under each category from an institution can participate in the competition. The heads of the institutions should forward the names and addresses of the students who are willing to participate in the competition so as to reach the Vigilance Officer, Rubber Board, Kottayam 686 002 (email: email@example.com) on or before 10 am, 27 October 2014. The students should bring their school/ college ID cards and the authorization letter from their Head of Institution / Principal/ Head Master to participate in the competition.
Elocution competition for Board employees is also arranged at the offices of the Board at Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Agarthala, Guwahati, and Mangalore. The winners of the competition will be awarded with prizes in a function to be held on 31 October 2014 at Rubber Board Head Office, Kottayam.
