Rubber Board to reintroduce registration of rubber holdings
08 August 2014
The Rubber Board is reintroducing the registration system of rubber holdings. This will be launched in a meeting to be inaugurated by Mrs. Sheela Thomas, Chairman, Rubber Board at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, Kunnumbhagam, Kanjirappally on 12 August 2014 at 2.30 pm. The decision to reintroduce registration is in response to the request from various quarters, especially from rubber growers.
Registration will be useful in getting authentic data on rubber area, production, area to be replanted etc. Registration is required for transporting rubber sheets and registration documents are often demanded by the Government agencies when they procure rubber directly from growers. A nominal fee at the rate of Rs.57/- (up to 0.50 ha), Rs.113/- (0.51 ha to 1.00 ha), Rs.281/- (1.01 ha to 10 ha) and Rs.562/- (above 10 ha) will be collected for registration.
