The first phase is expected to be completed in 2015.
The Training Department of Rubber Board started functioning in 1994 and The Rubber Training Institute (earlier called Rubber Training Centre) was established in 2000.
Now the Training Institute offers more than 75 training modules annually for 250 batches of trainees. The Institute now has frequent international training programmes and has trained batches of trainees from Sri Lanka, Mexico, Myanmar, Ghana, Vietnam and the Philippines. During the external evaluation of the 11th Plan of the Board the expert committee headed by Dr. M.S.
