Application invited for rubber planting subsidy

The Rubber Board has invited applications from rubber growers for assistance for replanting and new planting under the Rubber Plantation Development scheme. Application in the prescribed form in duplicate together with two copies of rough sketch of the land already planted / proposed to be planted in the year 2014 should reach the respective Regional Offices of the Board on or before 31 December 2014. The application forms in Malayalam and English can be downloaded free of cost from the Rubber Board’s website www.rubberboard.org.in. Application forms and other details are also available from all Regional Offices and Field Stations of the Board.
In the traditional rubber growing area ie. Kerala & Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu, growers whose total rubber area does not exceed 5 hectares including newplanting / replanting during the current year, are eligible for planting grant for an area up to 2 hectares. The rate of assistance is Rs.25,000/- per hectare for replanting and new planting. In the Northeastern region assistance is for 10 ha, for growers whose rubber area does not exceed 20 ha. In all other non traditional rubber growing areas, growers whose rubber area does not exceed 10 ha will be given assistance for 5 ha. The rate of assistance in non-traditional areas including Northeastern region is Rs.35,000/- per hectare. Applications received after 31 December 2014 will not be considered.
