Training in rubber effluent treatment and biogas generation

The Rubber Board organizes a training programme in rubber effluent treatment and biogas generation at Rubber Training Institute, Kottayam on 10 and 11 June 2013. The training is intended for rubber growers and workers engaged in latex processing and sheet making. The fee for the training is Rs.800/- (12.36 per cent service tax extra). SC/ST participants are eligible for 50 per cent fee concession, on production of certificate. RPS members will be given 25 per cent concession in fee on production of membership certificate.
It is estimated that twenty litres of effluent is produced in the process of making one kilogram of rubber sheet. This effluent after proper treatment can be used for various agricultural purposes. Biogas generated from the effluent could be used as an alternative source of energy.
The payment for the training may be made by money order or demand draft drawn in favour of Director (Training), Rubber Board, Kottayam-9 payable at Kottayam. Application on white paper along with fee may be forwarded to Director (Training), Rubber Training Institute, Rubber Board PO, Kottayam-686 009. The fee can also be paid direct to Account No.1450300184 of Central Bank of India (IFSC Code-CBIN 0284156). In that case the copy of the bank receipt should be enclosed with the application.
