Rubber tappers insurance to be renewed before 10 July.

Rubber tappers who have enrolled in the Group Life Insurance Cum Terminal Benefit Scheme should renew their policy before 10 July 2012 for getting continued coverage. The Board has already sent the application form directly to the policy holders. Those who have not received the application form should contact the nearest regional office of the Board.
Tappers can remit the premium and submit the applications at the regional office. Money order will not be accepted. The minimum premium is Rs.300/- Those who do not remit the premium in time will lose their insurance coverage. The renewal of the policy is limited to tappers in the age group of 18 to 59 years.
The Rubber Board started this scheme in collaboration with Life Insurance Corporation of India. The scheme provides insurance cover for both natural and accidental death, compensation for disabilities due to accidents and terminal benefits to the members.
