Rubber Board Observes Vigilance Awareness Week

The Rubber Board will observe Vigilance Awareness Week in all its offices from 31 October to 05 November 2016, as directed by the Central Vigilance Commission. This year the main focus of observing vigilance awareness week is ‘Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption’. The programme will start with a pledge by all officers and staff of the Rubber Board at 11 am on 31 October 2016. The pledge will be administered at Head Office by the Chairman, Rubber Board and by Heads of offices / officers- in- charge in all other offices.

As a part of the programme, elocution competitions in English will be conducted for students of higher secondary schools in and around Kottayam and elocution competition in Malayalam for the employees of the Rubber Board in the central zone at the Rubber Board Head Office. The subject for elocution will be ‘Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption’. Allotted time for the elocution for each participant will be six minutes. Poster competition will be conducted for college students.

The competition for higher secondary students will commence at 10.30 am on 01 November 2016 and poster competition for college students will be on 02 November 2016 at 10.30 pm. The competition for employees will be on 03 November 2016 at 10.30 am.

Maximum two students under each category from an institution can participate in the competition. The heads of the institutions should forward the names and addresses of the students who are willing to participate in the competition so as to reach the Vigilance Officer, Rubber Board, Kottayam 686 002 (email: on or before 10 am, 31 October 2016. The students should bring their school/ college ID cards and the authorization letter from their Head of Institution / Principal to participate in the competition.

The winners of the competition will be awarded with prizes in a function to be held on 4 November 2016 at Rubber Research Institute of India, Puthuppally, Kottayam.
